Former President Donald Trump has expressed his doubts about President Joe Biden’s capability to seek re-election in 2024. During an interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson on Tuesday night, Trump said that there is “something wrong” with Biden, and he does not believe the president is capable of running for re-election. Trump cited a recent exchange between Biden and NBC host Al Roker, where Biden gave a long and meandering answer to a question about whether he planned to run for president in 2024.
“I saw his answer today on television about whether or not he was going to run to a very nice guy named Al Roker. I mean, you can’t get a softer question than that,” Trump said. “It was a long answer, talking about the eggs, and the this and that. Look, I don’t think he can.”
Trump did not elaborate on what he meant by “something wrong” with Biden. The former president, who has not yet announced whether he will run for president in 2024, also said that he does not believe he is “appropriate” to speculate on Biden’s ability to run for re-election.
