Another day, another accusation against Joe Biden. This time, it’s Tara Reade, a former aide to then-Senator Biden, who is claiming that he sexually assaulted her in 1993. And now, Republicans are demanding an investigation into the matter.
Reade has been persistent in her claims, even going so far as to say she is willing to testify under oath about what happened. Despite Biden and his staff denying the allegations, Reade insists that the truth needs to come out.
Both Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz are pushing for a formal probe into the matter, and Reade couldn’t be more grateful. “Silence from the Me Too Movement,” she tweeted. “Whatever the outcome, I am grateful to them.”
With Republicans now in control of the House, Reade is hopeful that justice will finally be served. She wants the conversation to happen and for other women who have been erased to be heard.
It’s time for the truth to come out about Joe Biden. The American people deserve to know what really happened.
Republicans are committed to finding out the truth, no matter how uncomfortable it may be. It’s time for Democrats to put politics aside and do what’s right.
