In yet another example of the left’s extreme and violent rhetoric, Steven Van Zandt, a Democrat activist, and guitarist called for the “genocide” of Republicans.
That’s right, he referred to Republicans as “cockroaches” and called for their extermination. This kind of hateful language is unacceptable, and it’s time for Democrats to condemn this kind of rhetoric and the people who spew it.
It’s not surprising that Van Zandt felt comfortable sharing this kind of message with his followers, given the current state of the left. From Maxine Waters’ calls to harass Trump officials to the numerous instances of left-wing violence, it’s clear that the left has no qualms about using violent language and actions to get their way.
But the truth is, the left’s violent rhetoric is not going to intimidate Republicans. In fact, it’s only going to make us more determined to fight for our beliefs and values. We will not be silenced or intimidated by these kinds of threats.
It’s time for the left to start taking responsibility for their words and actions. It’s time for them to condemn violent language and behavior, and to start working towards real solutions that benefit all Americans.
