Tucker Carlson Sparks Controversy, Guess What Legal Struggle Takes a New Turn

Fox News host Tucker Carlson has called on Jacob Chansley, better known as the “QAnon Shaman,” to sue Rep. Liz Cheney, accusing her of committing a “crime” against Chansley and the justice system.

Chansley was recently released from prison, but the Biden administration has demanded that he serve an additional six months in a halfway house. Carlson claims that this additional sentence is an attempt to destroy Chansley’s life.

Carlson argues that Chansley is not a criminal but a political prisoner, as he did nothing wrong on the day of the Capitol riot. In fact, Chansley was led into the Senate chamber by Capitol Police, suggesting that he was not a violent insurrectionist.

Carlson has accused Cheney of “frothing media coverage” against Chansley, which led to his imprisonment. Carlson played a video of former George W. Bush advisor Steve Schmidt, who called for Chansley to be shot.

Carlson claims that the video evidence obtained by the January 6th committee proves that Chansley did nothing wrong and that he was led into the Senate by armed officers.

Carlson claims that this is evidence of a political vendetta against Chansley by the Biden administration and that Chansley should sue Liz Cheney for her role in his imprisonment.

Chansley’s attorney, William Shipley, has said that his client plans to make his thoughts known about what has happened “when it is the right time to do so.”

Shipley said that he and Chansley made several decisions about Chansley’s case after long discussions and that he understood the prison release schedule and could explain it to his client. Shipley has said that he will evaluate his options and make a plan based on accurate information from the videos.
