As soon as Joe Biden announced his run for a second presidential term, the country started buzzing with the possibility of another Biden-Trump face-off in 2024. So, what do Republican voters think about this potential rematch?
According to Americans in Nashville and Baltimore who spoke with Fox News, opinions are divided. Some, like Carol in Nashville, believe that despite his past issues, former President Trump could still win.
Others, like Anikee in Baltimore, think that Biden will come out on top because nobody likes Trump except for Republicans.
While the current President is expected to be the Democrats’ nominee, Trump will have to defeat a number of Republicans in the primary to get the nomination.
If Trump is put back in for the Republican nomination, Barbara from Nashville thinks that Biden will win. She said, “I hate to think that out of this entire beautiful, wonderful country, those are our two top choices.”
Sharon, another Nashville local, said she would watch the debates because it would be a show with comedy with Trump there. An NBC News poll showed that neither candidate was popular among Americans. 60% of U.S. adults said Trump shouldn’t run for president, while 70% said the same of Biden.
Dave, another Nashville resident, said he would vote for Trump because he doesn’t want Biden. However, Colton from Nashville doesn’t want to see a Trump-Biden rematch at all. “The disgusting part is the division that both of these people have brought, mostly Trump,” he said.
It’s clear that the prospect of a Biden-Trump rematch has sparked mixed emotions among Americans. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
