If You Want A Good Laugh, Here’s Biden’s Latest Gaffe

In his recent speech on healthcare policy in Virginia Beach, President Biden shared a personal anecdote about a nurse who cared for him during his hospital stay. Twitter users were quick to react, expressing their distaste for what they viewed as an overshare of personal medical details.

The nurse, who Biden said was named Pearl Nelson, apparently went above and beyond the call of duty to provide care to the president. “She’d come in and do things I don’t think you learn in nursing school,” he said. “She’d whisper in my ear, I couldn’t understand, but she’d whisper, and she’d lean down and actually breathe on me to make sure there was a human connection.”

Critics were quick to pounce on the story, with some questioning Biden’s mental acuity and calling for his removal from office. “How does the Cabinet watch this and NOT invoke the 25th Amendment??” asked radio host Jenna Ellis. Others called the story strange and unbecoming of a president, while some simply mocked Biden’s odd choice of words.

However, it should be noted that this is not the first time Biden has shared this particular anecdote. He previously recounted the story in a tweet last year, and it seems likely that he simply forgot that he had already shared it.

Regardless, the backlash from Republican voters and conservatives is a clear sign that they are still on the attack against the Biden administration.
