Ex-NIAID Director Dr. Anthony Fauci has come under fire as critics reveal he is charging up to $100,000 for speaking engagements. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ rapid response director, Christina Pushaw, exposed Fauci’s price tag via Twitter, which is listed on the Leading Motivational Speaker’s Agency’s website.
Critics have accused Fauci of exploiting his controversial role in the pandemic and inflating his self-worth. Fauci’s speaking engagements have included the 2023 Yale Medical School commencement speech in May, as well as keynotes at University of Maryland, Roger Williams University, and The City College of New York.
Despite his high salary and impressive net worth, which has expanded from $7.5 million in 2019 to $12.6 million at the end of 2021, according to watchdog group OpenTheBooks, Fauci’s inconsistent messaging and bureaucratic behavior have made him a target for those on the right.
Fauci has been hailed as a hero by the media and Hollywood, but for many Republicans, he remains a symbol of the Biden administration’s mishandling of the pandemic. Fauci’s lucrative speaking engagements and inflated sense of self have only further solidified this belief for many on the right.
It’s time for Dr. Fauci to face the music and answer for his actions. The American people deserve to know the truth about his role in the pandemic, and how he has profited from it. This is a wake-up call for all those who have blindly followed Fauci and his misguided “follow the science” mantra.
