EXCLUSIVE: Inside Trump’s Twitter DMs – Company’s Blockade FAILS, What’s Next?

Special Counsel Jack Smith has successfully obtained former President Trump’s direct messages on the social media platform once known as Twitter, despite the company’s determined efforts to block access. The unsealed court filings reveal that Smith’s team managed to obtain location data, draft tweets, and the former president’s messages.

The company, now named X Corp., attempted to block and delay the effort, leading U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell to hold the former Twitter in contempt of court and fine the company $350,000. The transcripts from the courtroom show the depth of Howell’s frustration with the company’s legal team.

The social media giant’s blockade failed, and they were forced to hand over an extensive list of data related to Trump’s account, including all tweets “created, drafted, favorited/liked, or retweeted.” The handover also included searches on the platform surrounding the 2020 election, devices used to log into the account, IP addresses, and associated accounts.

This exclusive insight into Trump’s Twitter DMs adds a new layer to the ongoing legal battles surrounding Trump, particularly his efforts to overturn the 2020 election results. The company’s failed blockade raises questions about its motives and its relationship with the former president.
